How long is the Physidia monitor education?
The training for learning how to install and perform dialysis with the S3 monitor will take approximately 4 weeks. The training will be adapted by the dialysis centre educational teams according to their training program and the specific needs of every patient. At the end of the training each patient should perfectly perform every step of the dialysis session in order to be installed home safely.
Can I travel when in home haemodialysis?
The S3 monitor is compact and can be easily transported in your personal car. You can thus perform your dialysis session our of your home, for a week-end or for holidays. Your dialysis centre or Physidia can organize the delivery of all disposables on your holidays location in France or abroad in Europe (under conditions).
Who pays for the home dialysis treatment?
Home haemodialysis is delivered under medical prescription, with the agreement of your nephrologist. The treatment is reimbursed by the social security, as are the other renal replacement modalities for treating renal insufficiency.
Am I alone during the dialysis session? What should I do if a problem occurs?
You are not alone during the treatment. The S3 monitor is a connected device. The parameters of each dialysis session can be transmitted to the dialysis centre every day and your nephrologist can follow the evolution of your treatments and support you if it is necessary.

Can I be on daily home haemodialysis if I have a central venous catheter?
Daily home haemodialysis is compatible with fistula or with central venous catheter vascular access. Your referent dialysis centre will educate you how to perform self-cannulation while respecting good hygiene procedures.
How long is the dialysis treatment?
The duration of each dialysis session is defined by your nephrologist on the medical prescription. The daily dialysis session takes in general 2H, but your medical team may decide that your physiological state requires longer blood purification. In all cases, the duration of the session is communicated to you by the nephrologists during the medical consultation and on daily basis it will take exactly the prescribed time.
How should I organize the time schedule of my dialysis?
You are independent in the organisation of your time schedule and you can choose to dialyze according to the timeline that suits you the best and according to your professional and leisure activities.
